There is no way I will be able to put out Mythical Picks this week. The trial that I am hearing as a member of a jury has just reached its conclusion and I have not had nearly sufficient time to prepare Mythical Picks or daily rants this week. The trial was a complicated one involving alleged medical malpractice. Suffice it to say that much of the testimony was turgid at best for folks who have no medical training. At least I was able to keep up with the anatomical references made by the attorneys and the witnesses and with the “science stuff” that was presented by both sides.
I believe that we will conclude our deliberations tomorrow and have a verdict before close of business. I sincerely hope that is not wishful thinking on my part. We had about an hour to deliberate this afternoon before we were “kicked out” of the jury room and we made a bit of progress then. I hope we can get to a verdict tomorrow…
If we get out “early” tomorrow, I will probably be able to pull together a daily rant for Friday. If not, I sure hope to be back on the air on Monday.
